Hold On For Harry is a campaign to raise awareness of suicide and suicide prevention in memory of my 19 year old son Harry Southern who took his own life in October 2023.
Harry was a qualified climbing instructor working at High Sports Brighton and had been my climbing partner for the last 8 years. Harry loved everything about climbing, training, teaching and the amazing community. His favourite discipline was bouldering and when not working at High Sports he could be found at his 'happy place' Boulder Brighton.
Core Climbing has produced a set of climbing holds to promote suicide awareness and prevention
It is my dream for every climbing centre in the UK to have a Hold On For Harry route on their wall which will raise awareness of suicide and signpost climbers to life saving services.
